We officially kicked off the holiday season at Linen & Flax last month by hosting our first annual Christmas on Canton Street. We can’t thank those of you who attended enough! You made the day a huge success—our busiest of the year! It’s such a thrill to be able to help your halls get decked and your homes get ready for the most wonderful time of the year!

We don’t want those of you who weren’t able to make it to miss out on the fun! Check out some pictures from the day below and read on for just a few of our favorite features to decorate your home for the season.

Plaid is the pattern of the season for us this year! It’s fun and cozy, a great way to incorporate a little holiday color into your space. Incorporate it as a table runner for your centerpiece or decorate your seating area with a few festive plaid pillows or blankets.

It should come as no surprise that we also love linen this Christmas season. It’s just who we are! Some of our favorite items in the store right now are stuffed, linen Christmas trees. They’re perfect for an entryway display! Also look to incorporate a little linen into your Christmas tree décor by choosing some linen ornaments or decorate your mantel with some new linen stockings.

We love a good throw pillow during any season, but particularly during Christmas. Bring in a few holiday themed ones to make your couch Christmas cozy. Look for throws that match your Christmas color scheme or have some fun, festive sayings or prints.

Christmas is the perfect season for sparkle! Glitter, gold, silver—who doesn’t want to bring a little sparkle into your space for the season? Candles, signs, or ornaments are simple but elegant ways to incorporate some seasonal sparkle!

No matter how you decorate your space, remember that the most important part of getting your home ready for the holidays is to keep the spirit of the season front and center in your heart. Family, friends, and, most importantly, the birth of our Savior—those are what Christmas is truly about! As you work to make your homes merry and bright this season, it’s our prayer that they will also be filled with the love and light of the true spirit of the season!
